Cahoots! Fest 2015
We’re happy to, once again, spread the word about Cahoots! Fest of Faith, Justice, and DIY. Located in Milton, Ontario, Cahoots explores how faith communities can work together to bring about justice in the face of oppression and what it means to be a follower of Jesus in this age of injustice, destruction of land and the poisoning of water, deportation of migrants and refugees, and the further industrialization of the prison system. Coordinated by the Beansprout Collective and the Student Christian Movement, this year it takes place from July 9-12.
Cahoots offers workshops on a number of different topics, including Theology and Justice, Faith in Action, and DIY, as well as nature hikes and crafts for kids.
Our friend Kathryn Gray wrote about her experience at last year’s fest, which you can check out here. This year she’ll be leading a workshop on how to make cloth menstrual pads.
Cahoots! is a fun, family-accessible, inclusive and affirming gathering of individuals and communities interested in faith, social justice, and do-it-yourself culture. For more information and for registration, check out cahootsfest.ca. Sign up before May 31 and receive $10 off your ticket price.

I’m surprised their marketing statement isn’t, “Are you in Cahoots?! Why not?”
Intriguing festival though, I like it..
