New article online: World explorer discovers people ‘hanging out’
Wade Davis is a world-renowned Canadian ethno-botanist and anthropologist who has spent much of his life living with and studying indigenous cultures around the world. He is very outspoken about what he calls the destruction of the ‘ethnosphere,’ the destruction of cultures and languages around the world. So Geez thought, who better to comment on leisure in both our own industrial society and traditional societies around the world. In this interview by Aiden Enns, Davis articulates that the concept of ‘leisure’ as separate from ‘work’ is almost exclusive to the Western world, and how he believes Christians should go about ‘mission.’
