20 hours/week, $12,000/year
The person in this position is responsible for maintaining a quarterly magazine production schedule, working with writers, and providing clean copy for publication. This position is for someone able to work in the Geez office in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Our office is wheelchair accessible. Geez magazine seeks to articulate and embody an alternative to mainstream corporate business practices. We have a flat pay scale and seek non-hierarchical workplace relations.

Responsibilities for this position include the following: setting deadlines in consultation with Editor, circulating and processing a call for pitches, responding to writers, assisting with editing and preparing a lineup of stories, coordinating proofreaders, managing email and other correspondence for the magazine.
