Hip-hop star Shad speaks in Winnipeg church

There’s a free lecture coming up featuring Canadian hip-hop star Shad. St. Margaret’s Anglican Church in Winnipeg is hosting Shad, In Conversation, a chance to hear Shad reflect on poetry, politics, faith, and justice. Shad recently took home this year’s Juno award for Rap Recording of the Year (see Toronto Star article ), and has been twice shortlisted for Canada’s Polaris Prize. St. Margaret’s is located at the corner of Ethelbert and Westminster in Winnipeg’s Wolseley neighbourhood. The lecture is free and starts at 7:30 p.m. – Kurt Armstrong
